This page explains how Connascent Web Services (ABN 90 661 967 022) handles personal information through this website and when you contact us.

What this site collects

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the next page matches. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

When you use the contact form

The form sends us what you enter:

• your name and email address;
• your organisation and phone number, if you give them;
• the services you are interested in;
• your message.

It reaches us as an email, sent through Mailgun. We use it to reply to you, to prepare a quote, and to do the work you ask us to do.

To limit abuse, the form also keeps a one-way hash of your internet address, which is a scrambled code we cannot turn back into your address. It is used only to count repeat submissions, and it is set to expire after two hours.

Visit records

Because we do not run analytics, the site's access logs are our only record of visits. They are kept in a private storage bucket and deleted after 90 days.

How long we keep things

• Enquiry emails from the contact form: 30 days.
• The hashed internet address used to limit repeat submissions: set to expire after two hours.
• Access logs: 90 days.

Where it is handled

This site is hosted on AWS in Sydney, and our email is handled through Mailgun.

Work we do for you

When we build, host or test systems for you, any personal information in those systems is handled under the agreement for that work, not by this page.

You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by using the contact form.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
