RedPennon (a Connascent product)

RedPennon is a hosted feature flag service: software teams turn features on and off, roll them out gradually and run experiments without a redeploy.

What we built

  • A web application for organisations, projects, environments, flags and targeting rules, with billing and roles.
  • A separate evaluation API, kept small for low-latency reads.
  • Official SDKs for Node, Go and Python, and a CLI that finds where flags are used in code.
  • Developer documentation, a marketing site and a staff admin.

How it runs

Python and Django, HTMX and Alpine.js, PostgreSQL, on AWS in Sydney. We host and look after it.
